Well, though most people, including me, are more used to getting access to the Internet with all kinds of apps, I do have some websites in my “weekly” bookmarks folder. I don’t visit them every single day, but on weekends or whenever I feel bored, they never disappoint.

Among them, my favorite is Youku, an online video sharing website in China. It’s like a Chinese version of Youtube. You can submit your private videos, or any movies produced by you, so that any person can watch it, like it or dislike it.

I started to visit this website about 10 years ago, and it was recommended by my cousin, who lives in another city. He told me that he had shot a video clip for his family and wanted me to watch it. I found it so amazing because I could finally see them after 5 years’ separation, like how he became, how his parents were doing and what his life was like.

Nowadays this website functions much more than a video sharing platform. It allows you to keep up to date with what friends are doing. You have a profile page with information and status updates so that you can tell everyone what you're doing. So you can now use it as a social networking website.

In addition, it has a large collection of songs, movies and even scientific reports. You can go for the movies or songs when you wanna have some fun, and it is also a good place to study with its education resources. In a word, this website is both entertaining and useful. I guess this is why I like visiting it so much.
