One of the most interesting and well-known places where people can go to listen to the music in Ha Noi is definitely the Walking street, which is near Ho Guom lake on Hai Ba Trung district.

When coming to this street, you can have chances to listen to various genres of music, ranging from pop and rock music to folk songs free of charge. A lot of * musicians and singers have their music performances there without caring about how much money other people will voluntarily give them. They sing and play musical instruments mainly because they want to arouse their passion and be the centre of attention.

My friends and I usually wander around the Walking street on the weekend and we all blow my mind by how talented and skillful the artists are. Another thing that I love about this place is it can help me to get closer to the nature around Ho Guom lake and get a sense of transquility. Especially in the spring, when the weather is breezy and all flowers are in bloom, I prefer going for a walk around the lake, watch live music shows and inhale the pleasant scents of flowers, which allows me to put my feet up and recharge my battery after working my fingers to the bone.

If anyone asks me about places of interests in Ha Noi, I would definitely recommend them to visit the Walking street and enjoy a variety of music genres as well as fresh environment.

It is true that a rich variety of musical styles can be found around the world. Music is a vital part of all human cultures for a range of reasons, and I would argue that traditional music is more important than modern, international music.

Music is something that accompanies all of us throughout our lives. As children, we are taught songs by our parents and teachers as a means of learning language, or simply as a form of enjoyment. Children delight in singing with others, and it would appear that the act of singing in a group creates a connection between participants, regardless of their age. Later in life, people’s musical preferences develop, and we come to see our favourite songs as part of our life stories. Music both expresses and arouses emotions in a way that words alone cannot. In short, it is difficult to imagine life without it.

In my opinion, traditional music should be valued over the international music that has become so popular. International pop music is often catchy and fun, but it is essentially a commercial product that is marketed and sold by business people. 1.选对的材料大量地泛听
不夸张的说，这是唯一一种你可以在中国本土可以使用的低成本的创造语言环境的方法。虽然这只是一个被动的听的过程，但是它可以潜移默化的增加你的词汇量，改善你的发音，最重要的是培养你用另外一种语言思考的习惯，最棒的是这一切都不是你刻意追求的，而是在你的潜意识状态下发生的（现代神经医学已经多次证明人类在潜意识状态下学习效率反而更高）。

这个方法还有一个好处，如果你选的泛听材料是你感兴趣的话题的话，你会比较容易坚持。我经常喜欢把学习英语和减肥健身做对比，这两个都是需要长期坚持的慢功夫活儿，所以任何人告诉你可以一周提高英语口语或者减肥20斤不反弹都是耍流氓。减肥最重要的是需要有一个合理的饮食计划，如果你的饮食计划里面的东西都是你不爱吃的，那你肯定很难坚持下去。同样的，如果让你泛听的英语材料都是你不感兴趣的话题，你能坚持下去吗？

那么是不是所有的题材都适合做泛听呢，网上很多人推荐看美剧，听VOA，BBC，一开始我也是从听VOA看老友记开始的，但是那时候资源远没有现在这么丰富。我的建议是，从non-scripted的材料开始听起, 何为non-scripted材料？就是那种不是事先写好剧本的，各种脱口秀，真人秀都可以划入这一范畴，我个人比较推荐The Apprentice系列，如果你比较喜欢英音的可以看The Apprentice UK。另外一个值得推荐的系列是Survivor（幸存者），这部剧目前已经开播15个年头，共30个season，*水平精良，本身够精彩，而且参与者来自各行各业，操着各种口音，是一个非常好的泛听材料。(关于真人秀我在另外一篇文章里有更为详细的阐述，可以点此阅读）。

作为进阶，口语水平已经比较好的朋友可以尝试看各大network的脱口秀，我本人是从大二开始就养成看Conan O’Brien的习惯，大二到大四三年一集不差地看了3年，后来大学毕业也偶尔会看，美国的脱口秀一般40分钟到一个小时，开始一般是主持人结合时事讲搞笑的段子，之后会有一到两个短小品，然后是名人访谈环节，一般是最近推出新作品的演员上来推荐自己的新作，最后会有乐队或者歌手上来现场表演。所以基本上一集里面你可以体会到Monolog（独白），Dialog（对话）和Music（音乐）三种不同形式的语言表达。我个人认为是非常好的泛听进阶材料。

然后最高阶材料是Standup Comedy，有点类似于咱们中国的说学逗唱，但是一般是单口的，网上有大量的Standup Comedy可以下载，我个人比较喜欢Chris Rock和Jimmy Carr，此外Comedy Central的Roast系列也非常棒。对于没有时间或者条件看视频的朋友，可以选择听Podcast，安卓平台推荐使用Pocket Cast，iOS推荐使用Overcast，都是免费的。Podcast涵盖各种话题，可以根据自己的兴趣爱好订阅一到两个坚持听。我个人比较推荐WNYC出品的Freakonomics Radio和NPR出品的一些节目。

2.自己跟自己说话
这个方法非常适合自己一个人走路或者没事儿干的时候自己跟自己跟自己练口语，上面我们提到的泛听是一个被动的输入过程，而自己跟自己说话就是一个主动地输出过程了，这个方法有三点好处：第一，我们中国人学英语的最大一个障碍之一就是不好意思说，怕说错了别人笑话，这个方法因为是自己跟自己说，所以不存在这个问题；第二，自己跟自己说话可以随便选话题，选自己最感兴趣的话题，不受限制；第三，不受时间地点限制，你甚至不需要出声，在脑子里面说都可以，而且是免费的。举个例子，你在从宿舍到教室的路上一个人走，选好一个话题，比如想谈谈目前比较火的“中国股市”，那就可以开始说了，说任何相关的事情都可以，如果不幸说多了跑题了那也没关系，因为你的目的已经达到了。

3.选择一款APP辅助背单词
词汇量的重要性我就不在这里熬述了，用软件辅助背单词的最大好处就是便于复习管理。我从初中开始就开始用软件辅助背单词了，当时唯一一款能用的软件叫做“轻轻松松背单词”，现在市面上可以用的背单词软件数不胜数，当然质量也参差不齐，比较有名的软件有百词斩，扇贝，拓词等, 选一款自己用着顺手的app，选一本适合自己单词书，制定一个可执行的单词复习量，开始背吧！最好能找一个小伙伴一起背，互相监督，如果有任何一天不能完成任务可以设定小的惩罚机制，督促自己从头到尾不间断地背完一本词书，复习最好采用英文释义而不是中文释义，并且要参考英文例句，因为很多中文释义不但不准确，而且会产生误导，这样的后果就是很容易说出Chinglish来。

4.写议论文来锻炼CRITICAL THINKING的能力
有同学问了，我们这不是在说学口语吗？其实练习写作是磨刀不误砍柴工的。我的英语从初中开始一直不错，但是口语水平直到大二才能真正算得上是流利，分界线就是大二暑假时候复习GRE的时候写了40篇GRE Analytical Writing。我个人认为只有你能用英文思考问题，你的英语才能够达到流利的水平，不流利的原因是因为你还在用中文思考，思考过后再在脑中翻译成英文的说出来，这样你大脑CPU不够用，肯定会卡。当然了，不建议刚上来就拿GRE的AW来练习，雅思写作的题库话题其实就很有深度了，而且网上的范文资源很丰富，可以自己从剑桥真题中每周挑那么一两篇出来练习写一下，相信最后你会达到写作和口语一石二鸟的效果。

雅思口语备考贴士
关于雅思的备考和实战的建议：上面提到我第一次考雅思口语是7分，第二次考口语是8.5，为什么差别会这么大，我想最主要的原因是第一次是完*考，而第二次我认真的备考了，雅思口语的题库很大，再牛的人如果不备考，考场上遇到自己不熟悉的话题都会出现无话可说的情况，这样就很容易出问题。所以我想在最后这部分分享一些关于备考的建议：

书籍方面首先必须要推荐当然是剑桥大学考试委员会出品的剑桥雅思官方真题集，熟悉考试动向，自我模拟练习都需要用到它，目前最新版的是目前最新版的是《剑桥雅思11》（购*链接：亚马逊 | 京东）。口语专项书籍方面我参考的是小姨的《10天突破雅思口语》（点此购*）这本书内容比较细，各种素材，话题总结得比较到位，建议当做泛读的入门材料以及一本素材工具书。

现在比较流行上网课，我尝试听了一些，觉得黄瀚生Frank的口语网课还是可以听一下的，因为他本身是Native Speaker，加上又是前考官，对于答题方法和方式的掌控比较到位，不像某些2B中国老师给你整大段的东西让你死记硬背。网课可以去 报名上，一期好像是600-700块左右，不舍得花钱的同学可以上某宝上*录播的课（10-30块钱左右），这些网课每个月都会新开一期，美其名曰预测班，其实每一期内容都大同小异，最重要的是里面提供的学习方法。

iOS上面有款App叫做IELTSpeaking －雅思口语考试真是场景模拟(下载链接），这个软件是免费的，带5个免费的话题卡，软件里面会设置一个虚拟的考官，你选好一个话题卡，这个虚拟考官就会像真实考试一样问你相关的问题，从Part1到Part2最后Part3，你的答案会被录下来供你后面重新回放，这个app的好处是可以帮从没考过的朋友熟悉考试的流程，如果你觉得5个话题卡不够用也可以花钱内购600个答题卡，这样选择的余地就大很多了。
