1. Q: What kind of clothes do youlike to wear?
A: Icertainly fancy simple andcontracted clothing(简约风格)which brings huge comfort and simplicity to me. I know whatsuits me and what doesn’t, so I always wear clothes and never let clothes wearme. Sometimes I buy trendy brands and clothes, but that takes away individuality(个性).
2. Q: Do you like shopping?
A:Sure, sometimes I’m crazy about shopping. The eye-dazzling goods(眼花缭乱的商品)and name brands(名牌)in boutiques(精品店)and shopping centres are just so fascinating that I can’t helpmyself to buy them. But mostly, I’m rather rational about what I like, like myfavourite clothing style, thesimple and contracted. Idon't really care whether my clothes are from a name brand, but it’s the styleI fancy and the comfort andindividualityI can enjoythat make me want to buy them.
3. Q: What kind of bags do youlike?
A: Ilove shoulder bags(肩背包)mostbecause they have large capacity(容量)so Ican put all my stuff, like my purse, my notebook and several bags ofhandkerchief paper, in it. They are really of high utility and functionality(实用性和功能性).
4. Q: Do you have different bagsfor different occasions?
A:Well, I should say I merely havetotes(手提包), shoulder bagsandbackpacks(双肩包基慧), and I douse them for different occasions. For example, I use my shoulder bags and totesfor university and backpacks for outdoor activities like hiking or something. But I don't have a clutch(手包)forspecial occasions because I don't have such occasions to attend.
说完第一部分的话题,我们再来看第二部分中一个有关时尚的经典问题:apiece of clothing you wear on special occasions.
Describea piece of clothing you wear on special occasions.
Youshould say:
Whatthe clothing looks like
Whereyou bought it
Onwhat occasions you wear it
Andexplain why you wear it on special occasions.
拿到这道题我们要关注到这道题的关键词specialoccasion(特殊场合)。
An one-piece dress(连衣裙)I wore onmy cousin’s wedding ceremony three years ago is the one that I cherish most andchanges me most. It was the very first one-piece dress I bought and I clearlyremember that it was a Dolce & Gabbana. I specially bought it in Shanghaitwo weeks before my cousin’s wedding. To me, it was costly at that time, ofcourse. I bought it because I was firstly invited to be an honoured bride*aid.I was extremely excited and nervous because I was somewhat about to be thecentre of attention. Speaking of the dress, well, it is short, pink and sleeveless(无袖的)with a lacecollar(蕾丝领边). I adored it so much, but, honestly, it was my first timewearing such one-piece dress, let alone I had to wear it in front of a fairlylarge crowd! So on that day, I was so stressful and nervous that I couldn'teven look people in their eyes. But what surprised me a lot was when my cousinsaw me in this dress, she couldn't stop saying that I was adorable(可爱的)and elegant(优雅的)inthat dress. And surprises were just coming one after another. Almost everyonewho saw me praised my look and gave me confidence. I was quite encouragedbecause I used to wear jeans(牛仔裤)and T-shirts(T恤)day after day. I had never changed my clothing style. But fromthat day on, I tried to change my dressingstyle(穿衣风格)a little bit, and I noticed that change sometimes broughtsurprise and pleasure. So, this dress will always be my favourite, and alway*e a remainder that reminds me of the beauty of change.

1.Q: Do you think it’s important (or, good) to follow the currentfashion in the clothes you wear?
A: Idon't think we should put much focus on the current fashion in the clothes.Sure fashion makes you “in”(潮的), but don'tyou think once you are “in”, you are not true you but someone who looks nodifferent from others. I mean, fashion makes us look all the same without our individuality(个性), soto me it’s more important to find my own way of wearing clothes, rather thanfollowing the current fashion.
2.Q: Why do many young people feel it’s important to wear clothes thatare “in fashion”?
A:First, I have to say that clothes are more of aform of creative artistic expression(一种创意艺术表达形式), rather than a tool to merely keep us from naked and from climatic changes(防止受到天气影响以及起到蔽体的作用). So theirartisticand aesthetic values(艺术和审美价值)make them apiece of art for individuals to pursue and to follow. Besides, young people aremore concerned about what others are thinking of them, and this is particularlytrue when it comes to their appearance. Following an “in fashion” is like asymbol that says “you are with us” or “you are not left behind”, which makes itfairly understandable that young people are more likely to wear “in fashion”clothes at a very special age.
3.Q: Do you think people tend to judge others by the clothes theywear? (Why?)
A1:First, I have to say that I don't think most people judge others by the clothesthey wear. Sure, we inevitably judge whether the person has a clean andorganised(干净的、有条理的)living habit by whether they wear neatly and tidily. And we aresomewhat concerned about whether people dress *artly(衣着讲究)in differentoccasions. But none of these would we use to judge the quality of a person, or,in other words, whether the person is good.
A2:Well, it’s a pretty hard question because I don't know what all people arethinking. But according to my knowledge, young people are more like to judge aperson by the clothes they wear. If a person wears the latest clothes, youngpeople will think he or she is an “in person”, or at least, “in theirdistinctive group”. Accordingly, it is more likely for them to accept theperson as theirs. And once they accept the person, they don't think the personis bad. So, that's why I think young people tend to judge others by the clothesthey wear.

题目应该是 clothing for special occasions 吧。。。

Do you like looking at the sky?”
Yep, I enjoy watching the sky. Say, I sometimes look at the sky standing on the balcony of my apartment. Sometimes I may look at the sky at open space in parks.
Definitely yes. I’m really into looking at the sky from time to time. It makes me feel pleased and delighted. Whenever I am in blue, I would look at the glamorous sky to put all sorrow behind me.
Absolutely. I often watch the sky. Coz watching the sky after hours of concentration on work does good people’s eyes. Plus it can help people reduce pressure.
问她Do you like reading? Do you like looking at the sky?,
除了happy,“pleased, delighted, joyful, awesome,be wild with joy, feel on top of the world”可能都可以是她们的选择。

雅思口语part2 Describe a piece of clothing you enjoy wearing

You should say:

Where you bought it

How often you wear it

What it is like

And explain why you enjoy wearing it

Part 3

What’s the difference between the dressing style of young people and that of old people?

Do the people living in south China (warmer) wear different clothes from the people living in the north (colder)?

Do you think students like to wear uniforms?

When do people wear formal clothes?

Well, I would like to tell you about a pair of ripped jeans that are my favorite item among all the things I have in my wardrobe.

You know, I bought them for an unbelievably cheap price a long time ago in a second-hand clothing store. At that point, ripped jeans were really popular and everybody in my school was keen on them. So, whenever I put these jeans on, I felt really stylish and thought I really stood out from the crowd. After a while though, trends started to change, but I refused to abandon my jeans. I wore them almost everywhere, from home to school and only changed them for formal events such as a ceremony or a wedding. Sometimes I even slept in my jeans because they were so comfortable.

Actually, it is quite easy to understand why I fancy these jeans so much. Firstly, they instantly create a stylish and fashionable look for the wearer. Secondly, jeans are easy to mix and match and I can wear them with heaps of different shirts without worrying about looking ridiculous in other people’s eyes. And lastly, denim is so tough that it can’t be torn, so I can have them for a long time and save a great deal of money.

All in all, I love my jeans and cannot get through a day without them. I think such an item should be made trendy again so that the youngsters nowadays can really get to know their awesomeness.

What’s the difference between the dressing style of young people and that of old people?

Older people are often uninterested in fashion and more interested in what looks good on them or what is comfortable. They want you to say “you look very nice” rather than “that is a nice outfit”. They often find the idea of “fashion” a manipulaton to make people buy more stuff.

Fashion is for the young. Older people already have a full closet of things they like.

Do the people living in south China (warmer) wear different clothes from the people living in the north (colder)?

Do you think students like to wear uniforms?

The vast majority of kids don't want to wear school uniforms. The reasons why kids don't want to wear school uniforms are diverse, from School Uniforms Are Ugly,Uniforms Aren't Flattering to School Uniforms Restrict Individuality.

When do people wear formal clothes?

Describe a piece of clothing you enjoy wearing

You should say:

Where you bought it

How often you wear it

What it is like

And explain why you enjoy wearing it

Different people have different opinions. Some believe... while others hold...

例如,“She works in an old office”听起来的发音应该是“She work-si-na-nol-doffice.”

What the change was

When and where this change happened

What caused this change

And explain how you benefited from this change.

Part 3

Describe a positive change that you made to your life.

You should say:

when it happened

where it happened

what the change was

and explain how you have benefited from this change

( or, explain how you feel about this change)

The positive change that I would like to talk about is ‘I started playing outdoor games instead ofplaying computer games’. After I got my first personal computer when I was only 9 years old orso, I started learning many things. Besides that I started playing the computer games. Ascomputer games are addictive I found that I was playing the games whenever I had spare times. This addiction barred me from playing outdoor games like cricket, football etc.

I found myself very much attracted to the computer games and I preferred to play the games athome instead of going to open spaces or fields to participate in outdoor games that involvephysical exercises. Not that computer games are all so bad, but playing them all the timesomeone has got is not a good thing especially for kids. I found that I was spending more timesat home than being outside. After my parents noticed that, they discussed with me about thatand explained me the importance of outdoor activities. They gave me strict restriction that Iwould only be able to play computer games for an hour daily and in the evening I’d have to gooutside to play with my friends.

This was obviously a very positive change for me. I’m not against computer games but I feel thatif there are more important things to do, then we should not spend time on computer games only. This change affected me very positively. I became a good cricket player later on, I startedmaintaining my times more prudently and I am sure this change has affected me positively interms of physical and mental health.

Describe a positive change that you have made to your life.

You should say:

what the change was

when it happened

where it happened

and explain how you have benefited from this change

Ok, well the positive change which I would like to tell you about was actually a pretty simple one, but it's improved my life a great deal, and basically all it was, was getting up an hour earlier every day.

The reason I started doing it was because it got to the point where my whole day was taken up with various stuff, like classes and homework, and I found that I hardly had any free time left. So I kind of realized that the only way to make more time for myself was to get up earlier, and so that's what I decided to do. It wasn't easy at first, especially when it was cold, but thankfully it got a lot easier, and now I find it no effort at all getting out of bed at five in the morning,

Anyway, as for when I first started doing this, well, I guess it must have probably been about two or three years ago, round about the time I was busy preparing for my university entrance exams, and I was getting up at something like five or six every morning to revise. And after my exams finished, I remember thinking to myself, wouldn't it be good to continue getting up early and have all this extra time to do things at the beginning of the day.

So that's pretty much how it all started, and finally, with regard to how I've benefited from this change, well to put it simply, I'd say I've benefited immensely, in more ways than one. For example, it's given me time to do a bit of exercise every day, which I didn't use to have time for. So now I've become a lot fitter. And as well as this, I also now have the time to eat a proper breakfast every day, instead of skipping it, like I used to do, so I've basically become much healthier as a result.

That's more or less everything, I guess, so thanks very much for listening.

Notes:

it got to the point where... 的地步

taken up - 被占据

I find it no effort at all - 我现在觉得一点都不费劲

如果被问到an occasion when you changed your plan,怎么回答呢?

This topic reminds me of the time I changed my mind about what I want to do in the future. Here’s what happened.

I’d always wanted to be a teacher when I was little, ‘cause I used to think teachers know everything and it’s the coolest job in the whole wide world. And teachers are highly respected by others.

However, I had a change of mind when I was in high school. At that time, my grandpa was diagnosed with terminal cancer. And he went to all of the hospitals in my hometown, but things didn’t get any better. We were told that there was only 3 months left for him. So in the end, we went to Beijing, and made an appointment with a famed doctor. He treated my grandpa with the most advanced medical technique and drugs that just came on the market. And miraculously, my grandpa lived 5 more years because of this doctor and his excellent team. I am so grateful to the doctor for everything he did for my family.

So from that moment on, I decided that I would be a doctor in the future. It’s a rewarding and fulfilling job. Doctors give people hope, and they comfort patients and their family when they are so desperate.
