艺术也始终是雅思考官们钟爱的一个考点，也有不少的重复率。其中较多涉及的主题有：music, work of art, sculpture, painting, handicraft, song。这类考题其实和诸如人物描述，爱好描述的卡片都有部分重合之处，大家在准备的时候也可以适当套用。比如有的卡片要求描述一个歌手，当然不可避免的要谈论他的音乐。描述爱好当然就更容易串这些艺术的东西了。
关于手工艺品的考题较难，我们先来看一张相关的卡片：

Describe a handicraft you made.

The handicraft I am going to talk about is the paper-cut one. Before almost every Spring Festival, my mom would buy piles of paper cuttings to decorate the home. They would be pasted on the windows and the entrances to bring good luck. But this year, I decided to make the decoration all by myself.

考生：Well, one of the obvious benefits to living with friends is that you're rarely lonely. You always have someone around to talk to. It's good to share your worries or problems with other people. And also, I think living with friends also helps you learn to compromise, share things, and make an effort to talk to them even when you don't feel like socialising. However, you should be willing to make a few sacrifices. For one, you may have to adapt your lifestyle in certain ways. Then there's the matter of privacy. This is particularly true when your friend has their friends round - of whom you may not be such a fan - and they're using the common areas of the flat. This can become a real problem when it's exam season.

您必须做好准备和准时。记着带可以证明您身份的证件。您或许会被面试官要求填写一份资料表（Curriculum Vitae或Resume) 填写时切记要真实和详细。面试官会根据您填写的资料问问题。考试开始时会录音。您不用担心，录音只是明中用来确保面试官没有做错任何步骤。第一印象非常重要，您应尽量讲有意思和有趣的话题,发音也很重要,再有趣和有意思的话题都必须要让人容易听得懂。记着英语的表达是很着重语调和高低音;身体语言也可以帮助表达，放松自己，但也不要显得太轻松。尽量让您的形态告诉面试官您不紧张和有自信。

尽量积极主动....

答问题时千万不要只回答“Yes”或“ No”。记着这个考试的目的是让您有机会说话，您要放开心情说话。面试官的角色是负责引导您说话，在整个面试过程中您说话时间的比例至少要有75%至80%，您要在回答问题时表现正面的态度。考生通常都应该诚实地回答所有问题，但有一些问题，回答的时候还是应该保持比较正面。例如问您对澳衫槐旦洲的印象，就算您真的认为非常不堪，也不应说出口。

答案一定要清晰详细....

千万不要刻意用一些深奥或复杂的字来解释事情。不要以为这样可以加深面试官的印象，一个简洁易懂的答案绝对比一个复杂难懂的答案好。简单的答案不代表短答案，短答案会使整个面试有太多停顿，而面试官也要大伤脑筋多想问题。

还有个小经验：就是在口语考试时，你要回答你能回答（回答流利并准确），不要回答你想说但是说不清楚的答案（不要边想边回答，容易造成停顿时间过长，用词不准确）
